Entry Requirements

Do you qualify?  
You qualify to start the program if you are a South African-based IITPSA member –  at least Associate member level, are employed and have been working in an ICT role for 18 months or more, and who:

  • Meets the entry requirements of the CPE Program.
  • Demonstrates support from their employer.

The course is also suitable for IITPSA Members with 7 to 15 years experience in the IT Sector.

And satisfy at least one of the following criteria;

  • Be a graduate of a IITPSA accredited degree in ICT (or equivalent) with 18 months relevant work experience.
  • Be a graduate of a South African bachelor degree or equivalent overseas qualification with a minimum of five years relevant experience with the last two years.
  • Be a graduate of a South African diploma in ICT or equivalent overseas qualification with a minimum six years relevant experience.
  • Hold one of the following vendor certifications – MCSE, MCSD, CLP and CNE gained from 1997, and CDE, Master CNE, CNI, CCE, and OCM gained from 2004, and MCPD and MCITP gained from 2007, with a total of not less than six years relevant experience post-Certification.
  • Members who do not have any formal ICT qualifications at AQF 5 and above with a minimum of ten years relevant experience with at least two (2) years at SFIA level 4 or above.

Students must also, at least at the time of enrolment, be in ICT-related employment.
