A gentle introduction to bitcoin cryptography math

Bitcoin cryptography was discussed in the last Blockchain SIG event in July, but the feedback received was that the audience required an introduction to the math behind cryptography.

This event will discuss the simple ideas behind the complex mathematics of cryptography. The intention of this event is to rather communicate that many of the complex ideas can be broken down to simple math that anybody can learn with enough dedication and study. It will go a long way to demystifying the abstract math and give the audience the confidence to pursue a deeper study.

Presenter, John Singh is a Senior Systems Analyst at the Spar Group LTD and he is also an IITPSA Non-Executive Director. In 2019 he started an IITPSA Blockchain SIG in KZN because he is passionate about presenting Blockchain in a simple and understandable way so that individuals can make better decisions on how they wish to use the technology.
