An IITPSA #IFIP60 Event: Covid and what the world did in terms of higher education: perspectives from 4 continents

November 18, 2021 @ 13:00 - 14:00

Covid-19 has presented us with an opportunity to showcase online education. During the pandemic, students and teachers all around the world were forced into online classes and for most, gained their first experiences of them. There was good and bad, and many will have hated that experience. But for some, it has opened their eyes to what is possible. We, as educators, now have an opportunity to improve our offerings here – let’s build a gold standard for online programs by building an acceptable, rigorous and robust learning environment; one where the potential of online can be realised.

Join this discussion on 18 November, with an esteemed panel of international educators including Dr Riana Steyn, senior lecturer in the Department of Informatics – University of Pretoria, South Africa, Therese Keane, Associate Professor and Deputy Chair of the Department of Education at Swinburne University, Australia, Professor Geoff Dick St John’s, educator at St John’s University in New York City, and Dr Andreea Molnar, Associate Professor at Swinburne University of Technology, Australia.
