Blockchain Africa 2020 conference report back. A KZN chapter SIG event.

John Singh will report back on the Blockchain Africa 2020 conference which will be held in Johannesburg on 11 to 12 March 2020. He will summarize the most interesting presentations and provide further analysis and insight based on independent research. Blockchain Africa 2020 brings together the top thought leaders in the Blockchain space from across the globe. The theme this year is: Beyond the Hype. The Blockchain Africa conference explores how blockchain technology and cryptocurrencies provide opportunities and benefits for individuals, governments, start-ups, companies and institutions by removing and improving inefﬁcient systems and processes within and across organisations.

John Singh is a Senior Systems Analyst at the Spar Group LTD. John discovered an interest in Blockchain and Cryptocurrency about three years ago. He has invested in cryptocurrency and spent much of his spare time learning about the technology behind the blockchain. John writes articles for SA Crypto which is the largest blockchain community platform in Africa and regularly attends Blockchain and Crypto events in Durban and Johannesburg. In 2018 he started an IITPSA Blockchain SIG in KZN because he is passionate about presenting Blockchain in a simple and understandable way so that individuals can make better decisions on how they wish to use the technology.
