Cybersecurity Awareness Month – Securing the Supply Chain: An IITPSA and (ISC)2 Gauteng Chapter Webinar

During Cybersecurity awareness month, The IITPSA and (ISC)2 Gauteng Chapter will co-host this webinar highlighting supply chain cybersecurity risk. Speakers will share learnings from a real-world journey to assess and address cybersecurity risk in the supply chain.

The (ISC)2 Gauteng Chapter promotes the advancement of Cybersecurity and is the only South African Chapter of (ISC)2, the world’s leading Cybersecurity Professional Organisation. (ISC)2 has a simple vision, to “Inspire a Safe and Secure Cyber World”

The IITPSA is the only SAQA recognised and IFIP IP3 accredited professional body for ICT Practitioners in South Africa and aims to uphold the industry’s code of ethics and good practice, continued learning and professional career development. 

Dinesh Govender
President (ISC)² Gauteng Chapter

Dinesh is a skilled and experienced Security Manager with 26 years experience in delivering value to Government, ISP, Telecommunications, Retail, IT Services, Financial Service, Mining and FMCG Sectors. He is passionate about engaging stakeholders at all levels in an organisation to ensure a successful outcome for strategic information security initiatives. Dinesh is a graduate of the Professional Development Academy for Enterprise Cybersecurity and holds an MBA Degree with dissertation in information security governance. He is also CISSP, CISM and CEH Certified in good standing.

Bryan Baxter
IITPSA SIGCyber Chair

Bryan Baxter is the IITPSA SIGCyber Chair. Since 1992, Bryan has garnered extensive experience in the IT sector, performing various roles including site engineer, information services manager, group infrastructure manager and business development manager. Bryan helped customers successfully manage and deliver IT Infrastructure to just under 7000 users in several countries. He is a seasoned professional in service; programme; customer relationship; strategic account and vendor management. He has a successful track record of over 120 projects or initiatives to implement IT technology, support services or outsource contracts. Recurring themes have been ensuring customers success and keeping them secure from Cybersecurity threats. Bryan regularly presents on cybersecurity awareness and contributes articles to SA Instrumentation and Control.
