The Topics
Guide to Initial Coin Offerings (ICO)
This presentation will cover:
- An explanation of what an ICO and a token is
- 2018 ICO statistics
- ICO structure and a typical ICO timeline
- Guidance on choosing an ICO investment
- ICO case study from analysis to purchase of tokens
Understanding Bitcoin Technology
This second presentation will look at:
- A high-level overview of Bitcoin technology and components
- A discussion on bitcoin transactions and their technical structure
- The bitcoin scripting language and stack based execution
- A discussion on mining and how blocks are created
- Bitcoin distributed consensus
About the Speaker
John Singh is a Senior Systems Analyst at the Spar Group LTD where he is a solution designer with a focus on integrating business processes to SAP. He discovered an interest in Cryptocurrencies one year ago and has spent time studying the technology and investment potential. He has done the following in the cryptocurrency area:
- Invested in Bitcoin, Ethereum , Waves and one ICO
- Completed the Princeton course on Bitcoin technology
- Read the books Mastering bitcoin and the internet of money series by Andreas Antonopoulos who is highly respected in the Bitcoin community
- Active in the Bitcoin stack exchange community
- Attended the Blockchain Africa 2018 conference that was held in March
