IT Assurance – An IITPSA Western Cape Chapter Event

This presentation with explore IT in relation to Combined Assurance and the greater governance scheme, by tracing the evolution of Combined Assurance from King III to King IV. The overview will include how both enterprise risk-management and business goals are supported by the development and use of the IT-Combined Assurance Model (CAM). We will discuss the role of Internal Audit in the programme of work surrounding the CAM and how to optimise assurance and management efforts toward ensuring continual improvement of IT-service levels and management capabilities, rounding of with a look at common challenges and success factors surrounding the development of a combined assurance models for IT.

Maria has held various subject matter and advisory positions in key public and private industry sectors, including that of subject matter expert for a large multi-national audit firm over the course of 19 years. As certified Governance of Enterprise IT (CGEIT) Practitioner, ITIL® Expert practitioner and trainer, ISO27000 Lead Implementer and ISO20000 Consultant her roles in IT and business span assurance, programme design & management, senior trainer and governance advisor across the areas of IT: Risk, Governance, Service Management and Information Security Management.
