Stephen Smith will give us an update and demo on one of Microfocus’s recent offerings, Stormrunner Functional.

Part 2 – Gamification and Agile Transformation

 

Agenda:

  1. Presentation on the Psychology of playing games (10 mins + – )
  2. Brief intro to the Agile Game (10 mins + – )
  3. Active Demo of the game: We will need volunteers (30 to 40 mins)

Presenters

Daniela Sounes:

Product Manager at Game2Change, holds a BA(Hons) in Psychology, and has been in the L&D industry for just over 2 years.  Daniela has an eye for detail and an understanding of what motivates people to creatively engage and learn.  She has applied her passion for people and makes Game2Change games and tools come alive.

Daniela ensures that the client collaboration journey is valuable, fun, and effective at delivering a high impact game-based product and learning experience. She takes a big picture view while still executing on the detail. Daniela uses her insight into the psychology of games and play to design and develop game-based tools (business games, experiential learning, and engagement levels). Daniela spends some of her free time in her art studio, with a good book, or of course playing games.

Martin Byker:

Managing Director, CEO, CTO, CIO, CFO, COO, and Chief Cook & Dishwasher of Thriive Agile Transformation.  Holds a BA(Religious Studies) and an Diploma in Advanced Management.  Certified in Scrum (Scrum Master and Scrum Product Owner) Kaizen, Lean Management, SAFe, Software Testing, and IT Project Management. Experienced in formulating and developing strategy. Experienced in developing and continuously improving project management and software development and test life cycles. Passionate about Lean, Agile, People, and telling stories. In his free time he brews his own terrible beer and plays Tuba. He is also a painter and has 1 thing in common with Vincent van Gogh: He has also never sold a painting.
