SIGIST Event – ATDD with Open Source Tools – June 24th, 2015

Abstract:
Typically, team members of an agile team struggle to get all the testing done in a sprint, thus breaking their commitment to completion. This presentation will show how the practice of automated acceptance test driven test techniques making use of open source tools such as Cucumber and Selenium can help keep you on track.
About the Presenter(s):
Wayne Sinclair has specialised in software testing since 1999, and he is particularly excited by the opportunities for using cutting-edge technologies and methodologies to optimise quality assurance with the aim of delivering transformational projects that generate real return on investment. Before going into testing, he was a developer where his experience included many projects, assignments and technologies so he is well poised to take advantage of Agile practices where developers and testers work closely together to deliver quality software.
Lebohang Moiloa has been in the IT industry for almost 6 years. She started off as an Application Support Administrator, then moved into Automation development and later Software Development (Java). She gained valuable experience in Test Driven Development and Acceptance Test Driven Development in the different areas of work to which she has been exposed. Her major passion is ensuring excellent service and the delivery of good quality IT products to all clients as well as honest dealings both professionally and personally.
