Abstract
–
There have been many changes in recent times in the IT Industry and we think it’s time for a hearty discussion on the relevance of test training material in the industry. Is what we teach becoming outdated due to our rate of change, or does the role that testers are now expected to play require that different skills be taught? We invite you to come and share your input and to see if we can realign test training needs.
–
Here are some questions that may get you thinking:
- What is missing?
- Where do we need more or less depth? E.g. Is there enough Agile?
- We train techniques, but very few use them. Do we drop them, teach different ones?
- Duration – 3 days vs. 5 days, or more 1 day courses?
- MICT SETA Certificate in Software Testing. Why is nobody being certified?
–
We challenge you to drum up the support of your peers across the industry to support this session.
