What’s New with COBIT 2019: a Critical Review – an Eastern Cape Chapter event, in collaboration with ISACA

Internationally renowned academic Prof Wim Van Grembergen of the University of Antwerp will present a talk at the Nelson Mandela University School of ICT in Port Elizabeth. In his talk, he will review COBIT 2019, focusing on its new elements such as the changed enabler model, the goals cascade update, the new challenging process maturity/capability model, the performance model for the other enablers, and the really new features design factors and focus areas, and he will discuss the added value of COBIT 2019.

 

Speaker Bio:

Wim Van Grembergen is an internationally renowned Information Systems academic. He is an emeritus professor in the Economics and Management Faculty of the University of Antwerp and the Antwerp Management School. He has been engaged for many years in the continuous development of the COBIT framework (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/COBIT). COBIT is a good-practice framework created by international professional association ISACA for IT management and IT governance.

Directions to the Senate Hall

  • Enter via the main entrance to North Campus off University Way.
  • Park in the main parking lot (marked with an “X” on the map above).
  • Walk to the entrance to Building 202, through Building 202 into Building 203 and its central passage and turn right (follow the dots on the map above).
  • Walk inside Building 203 to the end of the passage and out into the courtyard.
  • In front of you will see Building 261 (the MTLC building) and an entrance into the building. Enter Building 261 via the entrance and walk up the stairs on your left to the second floor.
  • Turn left and walk along the passage until you reach the Senate Hall (Room M218) on your right.
