Pineapple is the world’s first fully realised decentralised insurer as well as the first
company to initiate insure using computer vision (AI). The company was established
in 2017 and the first product launched to the public in mid-2018. All premiums paid
go into the “wallet” of a member which contributes towards the claims of the
community. Everything remaining after one year goes back into the member’s
pocket. Members have control over their own communities and can see what their
fellow Pineapplers are doing as well as how their funds are helping the community.
