Compliments of the season. My usual New Year’s resolutions have already been broken but it is still always worth a try. Have you managed to keep yours?

In July I will be handing the baton over to my successor as I step down as the IITPSA President and Chairperson. I am humbled and honoured to have been nominated for another term last year and I am now serving out the last 6 months of my 12 month term. I will be embarking on what I call my “farewell tour” and visiting the various chapters across the country. I am very pleased to be part of the amazing growth experienced by the Institute and I know it will continue from strength to strength.

I am passionate about our profession and the standards that we must uphold in ensuring that we build trust within our society. This is an awesome time to be in ICT because even President Ramaphosa talks about the 4th Industrial Revolution. We need to embrace it and upskill ourselves.

I still have my work cut out for me over the next few months to ensure that you, our valued member derive ongoing benefit from the Institute. We have an upcoming strategy session and I will share the outcomes with you in the next newsletter.

Ciao for now
