Welgevonden Game Reserve – (François Spruyt)

François spent 27 years in the Information and Communications Technology industry, which included 10 years with IBM, and many years on the main board of a large, listed ICT company, where he managed a major part of the business. He retired at an early age and became involved with Welgevonden Game Reserve, serving on its board since the early 2000’s, and serving as chairman of the board for the last 14 years. Although his position is non-executive and without remuneration, he spends a significant part of his life supporting the organisation and plays a leading role when it comes to deploying technology in the business.

Welgevonden is a living laboratory for innovationin conservation and wildlife management. The reservecollaborates with leading businesses like MTN and IBM; and with leading universities, like Wageningen University in the Netherlands.
