The pace of progress in the ICT sector has never been as rapid as it is today, nor the changes so significant. Now, more than ever before, it is crucial for ICT practitioners to stay up to date with change, master emerging technologies, and move out of their comfort zones to discover adjacent specialisations that may soon impact their daily work. What does this mean in practice? We must all become more professionally agile, continually upskill ourselves, and engage with thought leaders from across the ICT sector to learn more. But broadening our horizons need not require a huge investment in new qualifications and certifications – we can start by attending events and joining forums where experts share knowledge freely.
