IITPSA endorses 14th annual ITWeb Security Summit

The Institute of Information Technology Professionals South Africa (IITPSA) has aligned with the 14th annual ITWeb Security Summit to be staged at the Southern Sun Cape Sun on 23 – 24 May and the Sandton Convention Centre, Johannesburg, from 27 – 31 May.

The ITWeb Security Summit brings together leading international and local industry experts, analysts and end-users to unpack the latest threats facing African CISOs, CIOs, security specialists and risk officers. The event will demystify emerging cyber security strategies in AI, blockchain, IOT, DevSecOps and more, and explain how to increase an organisation’s cyber resiliency.

IITPSA CEO Tony Parry says that with IT at the heart of every enterprise and controlling crucial aspects of everyday life, IT security breaches can have devastating impacts. “Therefore, we are of the view that ICT professionals across all disciplines should keep up to date with information security threats and trends, understanding what the risks are and how to mitigate them in their daily work,” he says.

IITPSA, with its focus on ICT best practice and ongoing professional development, has aligned with ITWeb Security Summit to give IITPSA members access to important IT security insights.

The event will include presentations by key speakers including Graham Cluley,  an independent computer security expert, public speaker, co-host of the Smashing Security podcast, and an award-winning security researcher; Pukhraj Singh,  who played an instrumental role in setting up cyber-defence operations for the Indian government post the 26/11 terror attacks; and Shira Rubinoff, who is the owner of two cybersecurity companies, President of SecureMySocial, President of Prime Tech Partners, and an expert in the human factors that influence IT and security.

IITPSA’s endorsement of the ITWeb Security Summit allows IITPSA members to benefit from a 20% discount on the delegate price.
